Diablo 4 Season 14 is insane! The patch notes for Season 14 was released last week, and the game’s PTR (Player Test Realm) began this week. Its official release is scheduled for the end of June.
The publisher proudly stated that Season 14 would change the game. Have they delivered? That depends on how fun the various new gameplay elements and content are.
Next, IGGM will bring you a PTR guide, introducing the new additions and changes to help you better experience the new content.

Equipment System Reworked
As we all know, Diablo 4 has a clear rarity hierarchy for equipment: from Common, Magic, Rare, Legendary, to Unique. Mythic Unique stands at the top of the pyramid, possessing extremely powerful attributes and effects, but with an extremely low drop rate, making them the ultimate, highly sought-after goal.
However, in Season 14, this will change. Some players exclaimed after seeing this change: Everyone has a chance to own Mythic Uniques!
Why? Previously, Mythic Unique was a separate equipment type. However, in Season 14, Mythic is no longer a separate “rarity,” but rather a “quality” that can be attached to any Unique.
What does this mean? Simply put, any Unique you can obtain can theoretically be upgraded to a Mythic Unique. After upgrading, the unique affix effect of that equipment is amplified, resulting in a significant leap in your character’s build.
How to upgrade? Again, it relies on Horadric Cube – you can directly upgrade Uniques within Horadric Cube. It seems this classic item, originally from Diablo 2, plays a central role in Diablo 4, becoming crucial for players to modify equipment in the endgame.
Besides the most significant Mythic Unique, Diablo 4 Season 14 also introduces two new recipes for Horadric Cube to alter equipment attributes.
Previously, the attributes on Uniques were fixed. Some equipment, while unique, lacked practical value due to poor attributes. Now, you can use these two recipes to replace unwanted attributes with the ones you want.
You can try these methods on PTR now. However, crafting equipment with Horadric Cubes requires a large amount of materials and repeated attempts, and some materials are difficult to obtain.
Here’s a better way: buy cheap Diablo 4 Horadric Cube Materials from IGGM. You can get all the materials you need from us at a low price and enjoy the fastest service, allowing you to instantly upgrade your Uniques to Mythic Uniques.

Gameplay Mode Revolution
In addition to the complete overhaul of the equipment system, Diablo 4 Season 14 also adds an important new gameplay option – Solo Self-Found.
For a long time, many players have longed for a pure gaming environment where they can rely entirely on themselves, unaffected by trading and group play. Now, this wish has been fulfilled.
Solo Self-Found is a brand new game mode. If you choose to join this mode, your character will be unable to team up with other players or engage in any form of trading. Every piece of equipment and every material you obtain in this mode must be earned through your own efforts.
This is a mode designed for challengers. While extremely difficult, the publisher has also prepared unique rewards for players in this mode – a separate leaderboard. You can compete against other solo players worldwide.
If you want to try this mode in PTR, you need to ensure you are well-prepared. For example, you need to be familiar with the crafting methods of important materials in the game, and the gameplay of various dungeons and bosses.
This is certainly difficult, but it’s very enjoyable for players who like a challenge. Furthermore, when your name appears on the leaderboard, all Diablo 4 players can see your skill level.
Class Balance Adjustments
Whenever new content is released for Diablo 4, class balance is always a top concern for players, and Season 14 is no exception. Below, IGGM will briefly introduce some class changes, which you can experience in PTR.
Powerful Builds Nerfed
Many previously powerful builds have been drastically nerfed. For example, Overpower Build, and all playstyles relying on Overpower damage, have been weakened.
Furthermore, Barbarian’s core damage-boosting aspect – Aspect of Limitless Rage – has had its damage increase significantly reduced, thus weakening builds that depend on this aspect.
Sorcerer’s Ball Lightning has also been nerfed: Before Season 14, Ball Lightning build was one of the strongest Sorcerer builds in the game, allowing players to unleash devastating damage by stacking skill levels.
However, in Season 14, the skill’s damage mechanic has been reworked, no longer simply scaling linearly with skill level, resulting in a decrease in strength.
Unpopular Builds Buffed
In addition to nerfs, some classes and builds that performed poorly in previous Diablo 4 versions have been buffed.
For example, Paladin has received a damage boost for almost all Paladin builds, and you can try it out on PTR now, as it’s likely to become a strong class in the future.
Meanwhile, Druid and Necromancer have also received some necessary damage increases, and these two classes also have some interesting builds that will become even stronger due to the damage buffs.
This concludes IGGM’s introduction to Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR. Of course, there’s much more interesting content waiting for you to discover on PTR; feel free to try it out for yourself.
